It had to happen. But I don't see Pinella as an improvement. He'll shake things up. His temper and hot-headeness is the antithesis of Torre so I understand the move. The Yankees had no fire, no sense of urgency, and absolutely no fun (opposite the Mets). A move was needed but there's something about Pinella that I don't really like.

IMO i think this thread should be trashed until there's official word one way or the other.....
Personally as a Mets fan looking into the situation, i don't think torre should be fired. And if he is i don't think Pinella is the right type of manager for this veteran ballclub...i could see some personalities clashing |
