.....run VERY badly. The defend when they shouldn't, and fail to defend when they should, on a WIDE range of issues.

They do some, but also do a lot of horrible things. They are now (sadly) just another run of the mill far-left activist group, despite their lofty and (undeserved) name.

They support far left causes, not generic civil liberties. They used to be a decent group, but in the last 15 years or so they have gone off the deep end, IMO.

Yes, clearing every religious symbol off of public property is for the common good.

Gun law defense...maybe?

I'd love to hear all the "good" this group does.

Like all the $ they cost our government (thats all of us taxpayers)

Well, without doing any research whatsoever, I recall a number of times where I read about the ACLU defending the religious rights of individual Christians to practice their faith. But frankly Flush, I don't care enough to debate you on it. Want to fight about the ACLU, go talk to the other posters, such as Doggin.
