Olbermann: Bush ‘appearing to be stupid’ about Kerry’s joke (video link)

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15519404/

Sen. John Kerry called him out Monday.

He did it two years too late.

He had been too cordial — just as Vice President Gore had been too cordial in 2000, just as millions of us have been too cordial ever since.

The context was unmistakable: Texas; the state of denial; stuck in Iraq. No interpretation required.

This president must apologize to the troops for having laughed about the failure of that intelligence at a banquet while our troops were in harm’s way.

Bravo Olbermann. Love to see a commentator who pulls no punches and is not afraid to say what he feels. Can't disagree with anything he said. Is disgusting how the man who came into office as the great unifier has become the greatest divider ever to hold that great office.

Call me what you like, but I think whomever won this job, and had to deal with these issues, would be considered by the "other side" as the "greatest divider". A Kerry Presidency? Can't say I would find that any more appealing than this Bush one, honestly.

Our elections have become a choice between the lesser of two evils lately.

Where are our "best and brightest?" Because they certainly aren't running for office.

True - Lord knows the mouth-foamers on the left haven't added to the divisiveness AT ALL. The fact that people like Kenny hate Bush is 100% Bush's fault. I mean, the weather is Bush's fault...Christ, Kerry flubbing that joke is Bush's fault, too!

In all honesty - Olbermann is a joke and anyone who takes him seriously is a joke. Ditto for Bill O'Rielly, Hannity, Rush. They are all jokes. Olbermann is the same thing. Telling that you take him seriously....

Agreed, and even more....the division between Left and Right, the polorization, the animosity, the unflexablenature of each side, and their all-or-nothing positions on issue after issue......

It's almost, not quite but almost, as if we ourselves live in a Country divided. I would hate to see the results of a truth serum poll that asked "If we could chop America in Half, and ALL the Conservatives can have their churches and faith and war and Bush over here, and ALL the Liberals can have their baby murder, their science and their appeasement over here, would you WANT that?"

I think, again under truth serum, that the number of folks who would answer a strong "YES! Get them the **** out of here now!" would scare many of us....badly.

I think the majority of the people in this country fall somewhere in the middle. That is why so many feel unrepresented and disenfranchised.

more bullhs!t hypocrisy from the lunatic left....

yet when a poster wh!nes like a b!tch after being called out for having Fred Sanford in his avatar when he complains about the racism and stereotyping in an RNC add against harold ford what is the response of this same hypocrite??
There's nothing wrong with your avatar Jetdawgg, and there is nothing wrong with Fred Sanford. CB has a problem with moral equivalents. Fred Sanford is not Amos n Andy. So he sold junk. So what? Of course that has nothing to do with the add which you were completely right about. All CB tries to do is excuse it by showing the Dems are the same or worse.

I bet that add is going to hurt Corker big time. He may have tried to show that Ford is of questionable character but all it shows is that the RNC has no decency.
I suppose you do my friend. I think most in the "middle" are simply uncaring, uninformed and uninterested. And sadly, the numbers seem to prove me right. The great unwahsed "middle" isn;t yearning for representation of their view, of their moderation.....they are too busy watching "Survivor: Dogpoo Island" and "Dancing with the Fringe ex-TV Stars" to actually get education, get a clue, get involved in the process of democracy.

People, when asked, say they care. And maybe they do. But the vast majority do damn little to actually show that they care.

A divided America, a civil war of sorts, is not so out of the realm of possabillity as we might like to think.

Olbermann is gutless, IMO. He has reduced himself to joining the shill corps of commentators that he has always tried to separate from. Absolutely gutless. I can't believe people are falling for it.

Olberman's a clown....Plain and simple.

Sewing with Nancy on PBS draws more viewers than that imbecile does.

Yeah well I guess it's telling about be but the fact that you would defend someone for attacking Bush for publicizing Kerry's (despite what you very well legitimately might feel about Kerry) flub is very telling about you and your supposed objectivity and independence.

Bush's entire platform for running is to divide. You can't be against his policy without being for the enemy and supportive of terrorists and wanting the US to lose.

Come on anybody who can't see this for what it is is completely blind. How could you possibly justify this. I expected better of you.

Would you?

My God man, if you picked your nose in the 8th grade you'd be tarred and feathered by your political opponent for it.

Everyone has a skeleton or two in their closet and our best and brightest don't care to have them aggrandized and shown to the world.

Since when do ratings equal truth? Because O'Reilly has better ratings than Obermann it makes him truthful and Obermann a liar?

If a rap star sells more records than Billy Joel that makes the rapper more talented?

You people are hysterical.

I'm a former Republican who has seen the party hijacked by the radical right. I can't stand the Democrats because of their eagerness to adopt every looney single-issue idiot and overwhelming need to be everything to everybody so much so that they can't agree on anything other than the fact that they hate Bush.

I'm just looking at my sample ballot and my vote is going to both parties on Tuesday.

For Governor, I am voting for Charlie Crist - R, old-school, small government Republican.

Voting Democrat for Senate - anything to keep psycho Kathryn Harris out of Washington.

Democrat for Congress - the Baptists are halting progress in this city.

I am also voting for Cecil Field to be reopened. The amount of business that base will bring to the community will be great for me.

when you keep throwing BS at the wall (Olberwoman was also the torch bearer for the "Rove to be indicted" story which turned out to be complete BS) and show yourself to be a complete hypocrite (he complained about Rumsfeld equating today's leftist appeasers with those who appeased Nazi Germany only weeks after he put a Bill O'Reilly mask over his face and gave the crowd he was speaking to a "seig heil") people eventually realize you have no credibility....unless of course your agenda parallels the NY Slimes, etc....
