Will Vilma be Traded or cut after this season??

There is a lot of talk that he doesnt fit the 3-4 system and could be traded. do you think the Jets will trade him??

While it makes a ton of sense to trade him for a 1st or 2nd rounder due to his inability to play well within the 3-4 scheme due to his poor shedding ability, financially it's basically impossible.

Vilma has FAR too much guaranteed money remaining in his contract - if he were cut or traded, it'd be something like an $8 million cap hit.

this has to be the dumbest thread ever. we're not even going to let him go even if he asks us to so why in the hell would we cut a 23/24yo pro bowl MLB?

while we're at it why dont we just cut ellis, robertson, barton and co. as well? instead of just switching back to the 4-3 defense and let them become the dominating players they once were. if we have to fire mangini then do it. its easier to get a HC than a whole new football team...with a little talent
