I have only played with the Spaulding version, myself. They still sell them in big buckets at the checkout line at Sports Authority

I liked the spongeball better. Noone could hit my forkball. The only official ball was the Spaulding, tho.

Does anyone remember pimple balls? White balls with lines circling them with umm pimples. Best stickball/punchballs ever. Maybe it was just a bklyn thing.
