What a truly weak list.

Plame? No illegal action. None. The best the LIbs and Media could find was a difference of recollection they called a lie after the fact.

Mission Accomplished? Badly choosen PR talk. Shame the Left uses his hope of victory against him, but then again, we know the left doesn;t want to win this conflict, they want to remove us from it and hope it goes away on it's own.

Katrina? You mean the utter 100% failure of local and state leaders to take care of their own? And to them blame the Feds cause, well, the Feds are an easy target? Maybe next time the corrpt leadership of that state and city won't pocket money meant for the levees.

Abu Grahab? Screw um, "torture" them all. Hell, I'd even use REAL torture, and not the softball make them feel bad weak stuff we've used to date. Fight against us in a Warzone without the protections of a Nation State Uniform, well, you made the choice, you pay the consequence when caught.

U.S. Attorneys? You mena the President using his Constitutional power as he sees fit? Oh noes. More media driven baseless BS, a created outrage for political purposes.

I'll tell you, if the American Left and the American Media put half as much effort into winning this conflict, and reporting it fairly, we'd have won this one already. But just liek Vietnam, the Left finds it better for them to cause defeat, and to try to reap the Poitcal Spoils afterwards.

Like I said, that just scratches the surface. As a self-proclaimed independent, you should have no trouble labeling this administration as incompetent at best.

Plame - yes, no legal action, but that's because of lack of proof and cover up from high level officials. Anyone with half a brain realizes that Wilson's investigation and his discrediting of one of Bush's main pieces of evidence leading up to war lead to the outing of his high level CIA agent wife.

Abu Garab - sure, torture them all. Who cares about long term effects and sustaining superior moral conduct?

Katrina - Incompetence at the state and local level are not an excuse for incompetence on the federal level. Bush appointed a total stiff as the head of FEMA, and couldn't even cut his vacation short while thousands of people in NO were drowning.

Mission Accomplished - the definition of incompetence. The administration obviously had no grasp of what the future held and what the reality in the area was.

US Attorney's - Perhaps not a scandal, but a clear indication of how this administration conducts their policy. It may not be illegal, but firing 8 attorney's for sole reason of investigating Republicans demonstrates their MO.

Don't forget about warrantless wiretapping, no bid contracts to his pals at Halliburton, ignoring memos about an imminent attack with planes, etc.

Ah yes, blame the liberals and media for our failures in Iraq. That's a truly independent viewpoint. Forget about the complete lack of planning and no exit strategy by our commander in chief and staff, it's all the liberal's and media's fault. :rolleyes:

Actually, I am a "self-proclaimed" Conservative Libertarian Freedom Lovi'n Hippiepublicrat who worships the great Alien Hamsters from Space.

And yes, I think this Administration IS incompetant, but not for the reasons you do (i.e. made up politics-based "controversies").

They are incompetant because they failed to plan for and win in Iraq and Afganistan. They fought a two front split-attention War (never smart, especially in our Democracy). They lie so much, they get in toruble not for their actions, but their lies about their actions...instead of just being Men, coming out, and saying "I/We did X, this is why, it's within our rightful constitutional powers, live with it or sue, your choice". They have failed to do the right thing at almost every turn, from standing up against illegal immigration, to securing the borders, to cracking down (economicly) on supporter Nations of our enemies, to giving in to big Govt. bloat, to being possibnly the very worst communicating Administration, lead by the worst public speaker in history, ever, hands down, without question.

No one is looking forward to a new Administration more than I. But it's not for the silly and obviosu political ploys of Valerie Glamour Plame, Abu Grab-me's "torture", or a bunch of fired Attorneys.

The situations I listed are the most publicized examples of incompetence from this administration, and I agree with you that it is present on a grander and more generalized scale. The more publicized scandals of this administration allow the accusations to become more factually based, as opposed to based on personal opinion of policy.

Incompetence vs. corruption is actually a legitimate debate in defining this administration. Are they leading this country with misguided ideals and expectations, or are they fully aware of their generally flawed, yet personally beneficial policies and practices?
