Apparently, Not Everyone Hates Sean Avery
NBC must like Sean Avery. They just had him on the studio panel during the 1st intermission of the Detroit/Calgary game. All of a sudden, this "overrated, "dirty" player is now a desirable subject in the hockey world. Sorry, Avery-haters, this guy was the "steal of a deal" at the trade deadline this year and has become a respected hockey player, like it or not.
P.S. He and Brett Hull were roommates in Detroit for 2 years. I can just imagine what those 2 got into on their free time! |

I don't like Avery's tactics either, but you have to acknowledge that he's helping his team out. He might not be as talented as some of the bigger players in the league or even on his team, but he's acting like a catalyst to the rangers who were a little flat before they got him. It was a very good deal for them. Without Avery the Rangers don't make the playoffs.
