I am a member of a hockey message board and something eerie has happend this year. There has been a lot of mutual support between isles and rangers fans, I think we all realize, the die hards at least, that both teams being in the playoffs makes the game/rivalry so much better. I just posted that if the rangers play the sabres next round, ill be pulling for the rangrs because the sabre fans are almost as bad as the leafs fans. Sabres fans are the opitimy of Classless, last year all of them whined and complained about the Cane's not being a true champ. Blah, Blah, Blah. Whiny little girls, even if you do make it past the Islanders, your not going to win it all, it's built into being a pro sports team from Buffalo.

I thought the chant at MSG was "Potvin's Cups". As an Islander fan, I actually respect what the Rangers have done this year, completely turning around their season to make the playoffs when all looked bleak at one point. As for the idiot who started this thread, when even the Ranger fans turn against you I think the jury is in.

Don't do that the day after we have a huge win that the Islanders have nothing to do with. I've been rooting for them the whole team hoping for my dream match up of us hosting the Lightning. Usually, I hate when fans ***** about refs but in the last 2 games the Islanders have actually gotten screwed. Last night, that puck was in before Miller got pushed in and then once the 3rd period starts theres suddenly a penalty on the Islanders (Park I think). The Islanders needed a ton of breaks to win the series and the refs haven't given them one break which obviously makes it a lot tougher to win against a team thats dominating around the net.

I shouldn't be saying this because we are playing them, but I kinda dig the Sabres. As far as I can tell, their fans are pretty good too. I was at the game on Monday night, and their fans showed up and represented well. Sure, there were some idiots, but every fanbase has those, including here in NY including the bottle throwers and the fool two rows in front of me who screamed out "Rangers Suck cock!" during the moment of silence.
