I'm geeked up, changed my avitar and everything. Need to get some money back betting on the playoffs, last 2 days lost $750. Lost 400 on the Bulls last night (had them for the game and then took them 2nd half). And the day before lost 300 on baseball

i've been pretty good with picking finals teams the last couple of years. i did pick detroit vs. san antonio...but 2 years ago, when it actually happened. you're safer with detroit out of the east, and you're a fan of them so probably picking with that cap on, but something about the cavs this year makes me think it actually could be them. detroit doesnt have the depth they used to. but in the end i guess i'd write down detroit.

as far as the west, i've actually always respected the spurs and would like to see them come out too, but sorry, it's not happening. the cast around ginobilli, duncan, and parker continues to age, and they can't play 48 minutes of good basketball as often as they did in their legit championship years. they'd be the team holding dallas down and able to finish teams off in the 4th quarter, but not so much anymore. pre-season, i picked the Suns out of the west, under the assumption their defense would be a tad better--but it's not. with that kind of defense, you just can't be a finals team, it never happens. so i think the mavs is the right call here.

there you have it, my not so in-depth analysis. dallas over detroit in 6.

The East is so bad, I just cant see a team knocking off Detroit, even though I dont think thy are a great team by any stretch. I think Chicago has the best chance at knocking off Detroit. I think those two teams play in the Eastern finals. NJ and Cleveland will both advance past the 1st round.

West is going to be great this year to watch. Dallas has two potentially tough matchups with San Antonio and Houston. I think Houston could upset the Mavs this year. I think that will be a harder series than the Spurs matchup with the suns. Spurs seem to win every other year so now its their turn. My guess is they play the Mavs in the finals with the Mavs being tired out from a long series against Houston. Rockets and Suns should both advance into the 2nd round.

Spurs beat the Pistons in 6.

NJ can match up well against Detriot in the playoffs.

An upset of Chicago is possible, but that's where it ends. Going to see them tonight.

The Nets would play the Cavs next and could beat them. In the finals they have no chance against the Pistons.
