How will Kellen get any work at all this season?

It's a very tough schedule and nobody will be shocked if the Jets go 8-8

With that being said, Penny is starting all 16 games - barring injury

Kellen will come in stone cold in '08 (or '09!!!) and that means he will make mistakes that might cost us the playoffs

[B]By drafting Quinn, we could have had a "Montana/Young" situation - 2 young guys duking it out is far healthier than what we have with Chad and Kellen. We're going for a QB in the 1st in '09 folks - now you can bank on it.[/B]

You'd better be wrong, because that would mean that the '06 and '07 drafts will have set us back 5 years.

Yeah...you are right...

We should have drafted another QB to sit on the bench and 'battle' it out for the heralded 'backup' position.

Stop being disingenuous and hiding behind the 'we're doomed' in 2008/9 seasons because we have no QB on the roster to start in the future....if you are sooo in love with Quinn, or hate Chad that much, then state your case...it's not like we haven't heard it all before.

According to SAR, there are QB's that we could draft in those years that can start in year ONE...you know, like Roethlisberger, Leinart, Cutler et. al....so what's the problem?

Enough with this nonsense anyone who watched college footbal the last two years knows that Brady Quinn was hugely overated and that Lienhart's arm is just as bad as Chad's. Neither were the answer. We are better off with Chad and Kellen.
