Jets Cuts / 53 Man Roster
I know there will be a flurry of posts about the Jets final cuts and 53 man roster we decided to keep, so let's try to keep that discussion all in one thread .. THIS ONE
That will make it easier for everyone to follow, as opposed to having a million different threads about THIS GUY WAS CUT and THAT GUY WAS CUT, etc ... Just keep it all in this thread and we won't have to work so hard ;) Thanks JETS CUTS DT Kimo Von Olehoffen DE Bobby Hamilton DE Michael Haynes LB Anthony Schlegel LB Andre Wadsworth LB Jason Trusnik LB Blake Constanzo CB Alphonso Hodge CB Manny Collins S Raymond Ventrone S Jamie Thompson == QB Brett Ratliff RB Danny Ware RB Alvin Banks WR Frisman Jackson WR Chris Davis WR Evan Prall OT Marco Cavka OL Robert Turner OL Nashan Goddard C Joseph Villani C Dominic Moran 53 MAN ROSTER NOTE: Dual Position Players in Red QB === Chad Pennington Kellen Clemens Marques Tuiasasopo QB/WR Brad Smith RB === Thomas Jones Leon Washington RB/FB Stacy Tutt FB === Darian Barnes FB/RB Stacy Tutt FB/H-Back Jason Posiask WR === Laveranues Coles Jerricho Cotchery Justin McCareins Chansi Stuckey WR/QB Brad Smith Wallace Wright TE === Chris Baker Sean Ryan TE/H-Back Joe Kowalewski FB/H-Back Jason Pociask OL === LT Brick Ferguson LG Jacob Bender C Nick Mangold RG Brandon Moore RT Anthony Clement OT Adrian Jones C/OL Wade Smith OG Adrien Clarke DL === DE Sean Ellis DE Kenyon Coleman DE Eric Hicks DT DeWayne Robertson DT CJ Mosley DT Sione Pouha DL Mike DeVito LB === Jon Vilma Bryan Thomas Victor Hobson Eric Barton David Harris David Bowens Cody Spencer Bard Kassell DB === CB Darrelle Revis CB Andre Dyson CB David Barrett CB Justin Miller DB Drew Coleman DB Hank Poteat S Kerry Rhodes S Eric Smith S Erik Coleman S Rashad Washington ST === LS James Dearth PK Mike Nugent P Ben Graham Last edited by Green Jets & Ham; 09-01-2007 at 08:34 PM. |

I guess its possible though. If the Jets only keep 5 CBs then its obviously gonna be Revis, Dyson, Barrett, Miller and Coleman, unless they deal Dyson or Barrett within the next few hours. |

Yeah, I think Poteat's fate will depend on whether Mangini decides he wants to keep 9 or 10 DBs. If he gets cut, I think it would be strictly a numbers game. |

I agree. If the Jets keep 9, I think Poteat is the guy to go. If Mangini wants to keep 10 (which I think he did last year) then Poteat has a much better shot of sticking again. |

Watching the snooze-athon from Thu. night.
Tanny said in his 'non-interview' with Eagle & Buttle that 'cuts will be at 6pm on Saturday'. Just an FYI. |

Cimini takes a stab at projecting the 22 cuts in his blog today:
http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/ Interesting stuff - he predicts that Dyson gets traded or even cut. He also says that the Jets are shopping TE Sean Ryan in trade talks - good news for Pociask and Kowalewski. |
