Rating the 07 draft class - Scout.com article

http://profootballexperts.scout.com/2/694720.html
Quote:
New York Jets: With great expectations to contribute mightily entering 2007, first-round pick Darrelle Revis and second-rounder David Harris have been disappointments for one of the league's most underwhelming teams. Revis held out well into camp and hasn't been nearly as good as Giants corner Aaron Ross. Two costly penalties in last weekend's game vs. Cincinnati played major roles in the game's outcome. The Harris pick was lauded by everyone. He's been OK — but not great — thus far. Jacob Bender, under consideration to fill in for Pete Kendall after the longtime guard was traded to Washington, still hasn't recovered from being manhandled by Justin Tuck on a three-play preseason drive against the Giants.
We're ranked 2nd to last.

Rating a draft after 6 games could be the biggest waste of bandwidth ever.

This article blows, who can rank an entire draft class through training camp and 6 games?

In other news:
Knicks 07 draft class rated #13 in league through preseason.

they are on a losing team so they are going to look worse. revis has been ok, a very good tackler. harris has not played much but when he has it seems like he has been good. we will find out more about harris this week

How do you even rate the Raiders when their #1 pick hasn't hit the field yet, and they're second rounder could be McGhee like and explide next year?

Way too early to evaluate a draft. Does the draft look good right now? Not really, but Harris is finally going to get a chance to start now and Revis is still affected by missing all of camp. Lets see where they stand in another 8 weeks.

Wow, the Revis Ross comparison is idiotic.

Revis has shown a lot more, I couldve picked off those Chad flaoters.

And you have to figure in we only took FOUR guys.

We didn't have the luxury of a multitude of picks to show some production to raise a (worthless) grade.

Yeah, but we traded up for both guys so the reason we only had four picks was mostly our fault

Well we did have more picks. I think that is all taken into account in the future when we rate the two players.
