Fabio Capello: FA Approved
FA approve Capello move
Capello expected to be unveiled next week http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...969870,00.html The Football Association board have approved the appointment of Fabio Capello as England manager subject to the successful conclusion of contract negotiations. Capello held talks with FA chief executive Brian Barwick on Wednesday after flying into London for talks over the vacant manager's post. The former Juventus and Real Madrid boss emerged as the FA's top target after Jose Mourinho ruled himself out of the running for the England job. The FA board discussed Capello's appointment via a conference call at lunchtime on Thursday and they have now approved his appointment as Steve McClaren's successor subject to his contract being signed. Reports have suggested the FA are still deliberating the make-up of Capello's coaching team with rumours suggesting the experienced coach is looking to bring in all all-Italian coaching staff. However, the FA have revealed there will be an English coach in Capello's backroom team. The likes of Alan Shearer, Tony Adams and Stuart Pearce have all been linked with a role in the new-look coaching team. All issues are expected to be resolved in the next few days to allow Capello take up his role with England early next week. FA Director of Communications Adrian Bevington said: "Discussions have continued throughout the day between The FA and Fabio Capello's advisors. "The FA Board has also today approved Capello's appointment as England Manager subject to the successful conclusion of these contract negotiations. These will continue tomorrow. No problems "I want to stress that there are no problems and that we are going through the necessary process to reach a successful conclusion. "Understandably, at this time, we are unable to confirm any media activity that may take place. We will provide an update tomorrow." |

It's pretty odd to have a coach of the England team who can't speak English. Seriously, he doesn't speak English.
