Come on guys, stop using slander names

CBNY: Why do you insist on calling Obama Hussein, yes I KNOW IT'S his middle name, but if your going to do it then be consistant call all of the candidates by their middle name, but then again the only reason you do it is to make him associated with Islam.

Honestly, when did we lose out interest in the topics at hand and resort to calling the candidates names, yes Obama has done things that I disagree with, and he has done things that I agree with also, however if I were to ever make an arguement about something I wouldn't call him Hussein because it would distract from the arguement.

Making generalizations doesn't add anything to debates it only shows how little you are willing to listen to other people.

In my opinion they should not make his beliefs a part of the campaign, and on this board many people (excluding the extremists, such as Sackdance99, when he was still here) do not really attack him for his religious beliefs.

your opinion is fine but answer this- what did they (the media) do to George Allen prior to Nov '06 when they found out he was Jewish????

let's put aside people on the board for a second- how does the media treat Romney's religous background??? now compare that to the treatment obama receives....

No, the only reason that you call him by the name is that you want to make him associated with Islam, which, to be blunt, is not something candidates want to be associated with in todays world (I am trying to be offensive by saying that). If you had a good reason to call him it instead of calling him Obama, as most people do, then state it now.

I don'y know the answer to that question because I just started to really FOLLOW politics this year so I'm nnot sure.

The media has attacked him for it, but they have also attacked Obama for it also.

I will always remember seeing this opening to a fox news segmant.

They were showing pictures of UBL and then showing pics of Obama, one of UBL one of Obama, and the voice over said "could you vote for a man whose last name sounds like Osama and whose middle name is hussien?" and then they ended it with a screenshot of Obama and a shot of UBL next to each other.

the media has tiptoed around obama's voting record and purposely dismissed several major segments on it...on this forum I post about his vote against the Infancy Protection Act (one of just two nay votes) and his letting live birth abortions continue at will more than you'll ever read in the NYSlimes...

Yes the NY times is a liberal paper, but there are tons of conservative papers too. Don't even try to say that the media hasn't tiptoed around some of the conservative candidates issues also.

wrong....it is his name and he in fact did attend a muslim school and was sent there by his muslim father and in fact practiced Islam, hence it is not slander....hussien is associated with islam based on his past not by anything I am doing on an internet forum...

claiming George Bush was a cokehead or abused narcotics without an ounce of truth, as many leftists on this forum do regularly, is slander...

How is this different than you claiming stem cells "save lives"? It is based on [B]YOUR[/B] political point of view, not current science. You did the same thing in a prior thread. You are stretching the current science to support your own political opinion. At least CBTNY is using facts, as Hussein is the man's name.
