Didn't you spend the last election calling it irrelevent?

To answer your question: One candidate (Obama) was too young to serve in Vietnam, the other, as a woman, wasn't eligible.

We're not in draft-dodging/AWOL from Air Guard territory anymore.

No one made a big deal about military service and the presidency. We simply laugh at the so called military service of a "war president" who dresses up in a Halloween costume and pulls a PR stunt by landing on an aircraft carrier to declare "mission accomplished" before it is.

Liberals also made a huge deal about Diebold, right up until 2006...when, apparently, the GOP just didn't feel like stealing another election. When Dems lose, its due to fraud. When their guy was in the military, military service is huge. When their guys are not military guys, they give chicken-sh*t answers like Nuu's, which dealt with Vietnam, as if that is what Weeb was asking about.

Personally, I don't much care and I know both sides are hypocritical. I can admit it, though. Those on the left, not so much.

Irrelevant in the sense that you guys tried to make it a big deal. One candidate was captured and tortured (not just panties on his head torture) -- fought and suffered for his country -- but it's irrelevant in the bizzaro lib world.

Again, i dont recall anyone making a big deal out of their military service. Its when guys throw it in your face and then you find their military service was nothing to be proud of (ie GWB draftdodging by using his daddy to get him into the Texas Air National Guard) that we get angry.

Trent Lott was forced out by his fellow Republicans. Why didnt they stand up for him. And BTW he resigned. He didnt have to . Why did he resign?

Robert Byrd was a Klansman. That is true. It was disgraceful. But he denounced his ast. Us Libs believe in admitting when you are wrong. Denouncing it and then moving on.

I know white people in SC who won't go to Bob Jones University (Greenville, SC). Should tell you something when the locals in the STATE won't do that.
