I get you donot like him but you don't seem to understand the circumstances surrounding the failures. After '01 when they lost alot of talent. They lost Brendan haywood, Joeseph Forte, Ronald Curry, Julius peppers, Max Owens and others. They expected Forte, Curry and peppers back so they weren't prepared and the cupboard was almost bare in 2002. They had a decent class but not a class that was ready to be a factor right away like the class the following year. That following year was the Felton, May, McCants, Noel, Byron Sanders class and they were on their way to the NCAAs before Sean May got hurt then they were forced to play a skinny freshman down low and he wasn't ready to play. Remember they had crushed Kansas(who would lose in the NCAA Title Game) and they were ranked pretty high before the May injury.

Last year was Norm's first team at St John's that had a full group of scholarship players...he deserved this year. It wasnt that long ago that MSG was sold out for St Johns vs Duke/UCONN...
