World’s Largest Reagan Statue To Be Unveiled
June 25, 2008

After four years and several setbacks, the world’s largest Ronald Reagan statue will be unveiled in Covington, Louisiana, this Friday.

The big bronze Gipper, created by local sculptor Patrick Miller, stands nearly 15 feet tall on its base, and will greet visitors to the city’s new Tammany Trace trailhead park. His head is not as large as the Reagan heads at the three Presidents Parks scattered across the country, but he is the largest full-bodied Reagan anywhere.
It's nice to see that people haven't forgotten the greatest President of the 20th century.

The statue, has a storied history of setbacks. After the Reagan statue was first erected, it was stolen. The statue was stolen as it was being transported out of New York. In a shocking development, it was found hidden in the bed room of an insurance salesman from New York who was living with his mother. The scene became even more bizarre as the man was seen shouting; "Come Back to NY!" over and over again to the statue as he was led out of the house in handcuffs.

Thankfully, the statue arrived in its final resting place in Covington, Louisiana.

Just the 20th century? With the exceptions of Jefferson, Washington, and Madison.... I think Ronaldus Maximus is right at the top of all of 'em.

If Bobby Kennedy became president maybe he would have aided the schools enough so you could properly spell fellates.

I think what really irks you is that he called you out, you and your type, before you were even born...
"What is objectionable, what is dangerous about extremists, is not that they are extreme, but that they are intolerant. The evil is not what they say about their cause, but what they say about their opponents."
Sounds about right to me huh grand wizard?

FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, and JFK deserve to be in the discussion regardless of your affiliation.

I'd say from LBJ up until Dubya we've hit a Zachary Taylor-James Buchanan period in our history.
