No, psychiatric drugs are not intended to control us. Untreated depression and bipolar disorder is far worse than any of the side effects of these drugs.

NO, if you have had a family memeber or friend with Bi-Polar disorder you would see how silly this thread is. Anti- depressants help some people out as well.

If any drug is a goverment ploy it's viagra. The promise of the everlasting boner is a strong one indeed.:yes:

I have my opinion on most of these psychiatric "disorders" including bi-polar

I just think it is odd all these board members and top guns have strong ties to the Republican party, as I asked in the oil thread, what business do these people have being board members and politicians

The best system of control is one where there seems to be none.

Most people pay taxes and follow the law. There you have it.

They have no need to control your movement or everyday life.

IF you live as part of the system then they have control.

The only way you aren't part of the system is if you live off the land in the middle of nowhere.

what is silly is the average joe's perception on the methods of dealing with mental illness. We get our ideas from commercials during jets games and thats just where we are at as a whole. If everyone knew how crucial a role the calcium/magnesium ratios played with the state of your adrenals and how crucuial a role your adrenals were with mental illness, then people would be getting a simple hair test analysis..supplementing accordingly and having their health states come to homeostasis. Instead we take pharmaceuticals we see on TV. SO in answer to this question..yes we are being controlled. Its oh so easy, humans are pretty stupid and need to be lead.

This is hard for me. One of my best friends that I pole vaulted all 4 years during high school with committed suicide in December, and he was on anti-depressants.

I have since been really interested in mental health, and I have never heard of any of these ideas. Are there any links or info I could read, just for my own benefit?

I still believe though that drugs can and do help some people. That being said, I think that pharmaceutical industry is corrupt as a whole. There is a vicious cycle created where lobbyists give money to politicians, which gives the industry more money, which is then given to politicians...

I will say, unequivocally though, that I do not believe there is any conspiracy against us. More does need to be done however, because issues can come out of nowhere and surprise everyone.

So you're asking if we belive that the Pharma Industry is really just a Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy, led by Republicans, whose goal (other than making money, of course) is to control the entire population via medication? To what end, specificly, you do not mention, but one can only assume from your other posts it's to kill us all so Bush and Co. can make more money for himself and his Arab & Oil- Industry Co-Conspirators.

My answer is no.

And might I suggest that someone with the serve case of paranoia and persecution syndrome you seem to posess might benefit from some of those "controlling" medications. But I'll leave that up to you and your mental care provider to discuss.
