McCain closing gap, Rasmussen 1% for Obama
Hey, pollboys, asleep at the wheel?
http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll The race for the White House is getting a bit closer. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Barack Obama’s lead over John McCain down to a statistically insignificant single percentage point, 43% to 42%. Prior to today, Obama had enjoyed at least a four-point advantage every day since Hillary Clinton dropped out of the race over a month ago. This is the first time his support has fallen below the 45% level since May 31. Even though I like to see this, it means next to nothing. I don't know the difference/bias between Rasmussen or Merrimac or FannieMac polls...and I don't care. Might sadden Jetdawgg though, and by extension that saddens me too. |

hysterical....the VP choice matters now yet it did not matterr a month ago when you were posting electoral maps from a homemade website???? to bad confederate jim webb took his name off the list.... the newsweak poll was interesting for no other reason then it is a blatantly leftist rag starting to admit the fraud perpetuated by BO.... http://www.newsweek.com/id/145737?from=rss even more disconcerting to them is their admission that McCain has as much money to play with as BO... The Newsweek poll that had Obama ahead by 15 was a bad out-Liar. They polled 370 Dems, 330 Independents and only 270 Republicans. That is not a realistic demographic. Besides Obama ir regretting a statement or action he has made each week. Some executive "vision" he has. Unfortunately the media gives Obama verbal lap dances every day and the only thing we are reminded of McCain is that he is "old" and has a "quick temper". Just like that pseudo news story AP had last week about the polls that involved word association. Obama big buzz word was "change" and Mccain's was "old". Give me a break! When a Democrat flip flops it's Nuance and ability to compromise but when it is a conservative it's pandering? The media loves to bash "Big Business" what about "Big Government"? I though the dem controlled congress was going to clean the culture of corruption? Now you have Chris Dodd, Charles Rangel and Harry Reid with sweet real estate and mortgage deals. Where is the media? Obama's playbook is the same as Hillary's which is the same as Bill's, which is the same as any other liberal (i.e. tax, spend, you are not smart enough let the government regulate your life). The only change is that this year it is a different candidate used as the liberal vessel.

Funny, I didn't see you post this reply when the thread about Obama having a 15 point lead was started. http://www.jetsinsider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171700 I'm sure you meant to, but you just got busy. |

the national polls aren't all that meaningful b/c it is not a national election - that is to say the electoral college doesn't care who wins popular vote.
