Obama really doesn't get it. I'll vote for Mccain

I have been thinkking of sitting this one out because I am less than thrilled with McCain. But the more Obama kereps putting his foot in his mouth and the more his party does the unexplainable.............

Today I heard that Obama still opposes open up drilling in the ocean and ANWAR (which, in case you haven't seen the real pics, is a barren near wasteland inhabited by few and the reindeer will hang out right next to the power station). Some estimates say that there is enough oil in Alaska between ANWAR and the ocean there to cover the vast majority of our needs. Obama says no.

Had Bill Clinton not vetoed ANWAR in '95, we'd be much better off today. Obama has been quoted in saying gas might even hit $12 a gallon. Talk about making it tough on the working man..........

At least McCain has wisened up and now realizes that it is the best interest of the middle class American to harness a greater percent of our own fuel. Supposedly the shakle deposits make excellent airline fuel. Open them up, too. Just do it with intelligence and protect the environment.

don't kid yourself. McCain is probably even worse than Obama.
Just last week McCain's economic adviser Phil Gramm said "Americans are whiners....America has never been more economically dominant."

Vote for that sort of idiocy at your own risk. The truth is that your kids better be learning Marndarin because that's what their boss will be speaking.

Voting for the lesser of 2 evils is STILL voting for evil. I suggest you grow a pair and vote for someone who actually will carry out their oath to defend the Constitution.

As an independent (the people who will be deciding this election) i havent heard anything from either candidate that makes me feel confident that our dependency on foreign oil will lessen.

But at this juncture Im going with Obama. why? because he will end this disaster of a war. The current dope in office either did not realize that war is always the last resort when there are no options left, or simply lied. And i havent heard from Mccain that he will end it. .Until i hear that I cant cast my vote for him.

And i do feel the war and foreign oil will be the deciding factors with independents

Maybe, but I don't think that either one of them will piss on our constitution like our current President.

probably the most often repeated, yet dumbest canard on the forum

just like Reagan winning would transform the democrat party and propel it into a '84 landslide - they were out of the WH for a dozen years

a B Hussein presidency would result in disaster taking a generation or 2 to repair-

if 1 or 2 justices resign/die and a "Rat-Wing" Congress is still in place
youll see higher taxes, depleted military, gubmint expanded 10 fold-
a spoiled boomer cum hippie's acid fueled revenge of a diminished pu$$ified america screwing our lives up for real, the imaginary libtard BDS hallucination of bread lines and soup kitchens come to life. With no GOP congress this time to check B Hussein youll be reformed alright - as a powerless minority enslaved to socialism and multi-culti non-exceptionalism

i was going to wait until October but I might as well start now

all you wise "principled" folks

-and you know who you are-

dont use your gd brains and vote for someone who will actually preserve a few of America's conservative institutions

ill blame you 1st for the aftermath because youre smarter than the average libtard but still made a idiotic choice even after being well informed about the consequences

why you would ever vote for, or vote in a way to enable the antithesis of what you believe in & that will f up your life and everyone elses makes no sense

your foolish action will not effect mainstream reform - you can't even begin tell me how it can. if so, i'm all ears (like BH Osamas dumbo ears, only smaller)

and no, the reform will not be Rupaulism, pacifism, isolationism or environmental protectionism

Another lib/libertarian canard-that the Executive Branch has no power
and exerting any is dangerous. Name the liberties you've lost. I double dog dare ya!

No need for a President then, the Congress or the Supreme Court will defend us!

Few Presidents exerted more raw power than Clinton
(with the least positive effect) yet he's the greatest thing since sliced bread

Umm, I'm not a liberal. I am an Eisenhower Republican, you know, a REAL Republican.

I am not one of the those phony, social conservative, government expanding, nation building neocon idiots like our President.

I voted for this schmuck in 2000 and then the lying, government expanding nation building, social conservative, moronic son of a ***** broke with every true conservative value he professed to posess.

I want my ****ing party back.

I want small government. I want the government out of people's lives. I want a true free market which rewards the entrepreneurial spirit. I want a strong DEFENSE, and do not want our military being used to start nonsensical wars with no end.

Yes, defending our nation from our enemies is such a liberal notion

No such party as you describe exists in America. France or Spain, maybe

Shame how many Liberals or Isolationists think they are Republicans or Appeasers think they are Conservatives...setting your clock back to 9/10/01 doesnt change reality

Eisenhower Republican, eh? just like the liberal guy who expanded Social Security and the Dept of HEW. the Jehovahs Witness that added "Gd" to the Pledge and our Money.

I'm puzzled by the whole logic of your post. Where is the study that says ANWAR can cover even a fraction of our needs? Read the US Energy Department data on ANWAR and realize that it will take years to get up and running, will reduce the price of oil by somewhere between 0 and 50 cents a barrel (given that introducing .4% of the world oil supply will be easily negated by OPEC cutbacks in production) and will offer about a 4% difference in oil stocks. The place to look is not ANWAR, but off the coast of Louisiana, where there could be as much as 60 billion barrels of oil. Should some of ANWAR be developed? Probably. But will it really solve our oil problems? Not even a tiny bit. And that's at the cost of ripping up a massive wildlife area. Obama has probably read the studies. I'm not sure what you've been reading....

For me, Obama is not even a consideration. His radical philosophies will fast forward the track we're on now to a whole new level. McCain is better but only because Obama is soooooooo bad. Being a New York resident, I know a McCain vote will not count anyway. He doesn't have a chance in the world to win this state. The Rebublican party needs a wake up call. They need to go back to true conservatism. That's why I'm going to write in my vote for a true conservative and recommend that everyone else, in states where their vote won't count either, do the same. Hopefully, the Republicans will see how screwed up they've become and get the message. I'm just not sure who that write in candidate will be.

Yeah, thats telling me who's conservative or not-with these
solid gold oldies as references. You left out Wendell Willkie,
Taft and Dewey!

I'm sure without our military-industrial complex we would have won the Cold War anyway

*chuckle*

Nothing like Isolationist RINOS who hate Evangelicals our Military or Exporting of Democracy / Capitalism-their progressive views help me sleep better at night

wow...I mean- can it get any worse??? did you actually READ his post or was this another obaminist knee jerk reaction (hence the reason for your puzzlement)????

did you notice he did not speak singularly about ANWAR as a source???

Well I guess you're not voting for McCain then because he is against opening up Anwar also. He changed his mind on offshore drilling but not Anwar.

Please next time you go on a rant get your facts straight.
