Maybe Yanks try and acquire Holliday? Ibanez? Bay?

Rumor and like I said in another thread, I wouldn't trade Beltran for Fuentes, Holliday and Taveras.

Heard the deal was Beltran and F-Mart for Holliday and Willy Taveras in the SI article. This one is a little different.

Awful?

Much easier to find a COF than a CF, most of Beltran's bvalue can't be found in the box score. His D is so effortless. We are not a better team with Holliday than Beltran

Awful for the Mets.

Holliday slugs .200 less on the road. I dont want him at his inflated value.

No way we trade Beltran. Find out the deal with Church (although they probably know but won't tip their hands due to ongoing trade talks) and see if we can get a Juan Riveria, Marcus Thames type.

Well if the rumor was true the Rockies also get Felix Martinez. That is a big difference.

Rockies supposedly also want Niese from the Mets or Kennedy from the Yanks in a Fuentes deal.
Both NY clubs are not interested in those deals.
Kennedy gave up 4 runs in his last AAA start so Rasner's spot appears safe for now.

Well that is a really big difference considering that Felix Martinez doesn't exist

Rasner is just as bad, they are screwed.

The Yankee offense was having trouble with Matsui. The funny thing that despite having Ponson and Rasner in the rotation, the pitching isn't the problem this year. It's the offense. Losing Matsui for the year (if that's the case), is going to just make sure that it doesn't get better.

Well this is a big blow if it is the case. He was having a very good year. Offense isn't looking good right now.

The Yankee FO needs to make the decision if the season is worth saving...

If the FO thinks the season is worth saving then they have to go after a big bat either Holliday or Teixeira...I prefer Teixeira for a number of reasons but i wouldn't mind either one...

It's not IMO

It's time for this team to get younger and build around a small core of veterans and young players.

A-Rod
Jeter
Posada
Rivera
Wang
Cano
Joba

I wouldn't mind letting the other veterans walk and or trade them.

For the first time i agree with you...

It's time to rebuild, i don't think one big bat will make this a championship team...This team simply has way too many problems...If Cashman can get the Nady/Marte deal down for something reasonable then go ahead but other than that just play out the rest of the season with what you got...
