Yankee Fans?

Was there a player, coach or anyone associated with the Yankees by the name of Glen Covington? I tried to do a search but came up empty.....I met this guy who was wearing a Yankee WS ring and that was his name............I didn't have the courage to ask him anything about it?

Nothing came up, which means no, there wasn't a player on the Yankees by that name. He probably bought the ring at an auction or something, well if it was real.

They give all the upper management rings too, could of been one of them.

Wes Covington played AGAINST the Yankees in the '57 Series for the Braves.

Hmm I don't know. My guess would be either a trainer or a front office guy. I'm pretty sure they get rings.

The Yankee org. are very generous to their empolyees in giving everyone WS rings such as front office,groundcrew,scouts,parking attendents etc.
Not only players & coaches.
I know bec I worked for the Mets in 1986 as Players & owners parking lot & was not given a ring but offered 1 for $5000 bec. I was a seasonal employee.
The mets in 2000 finally gave all Mets empolyees NL champs rings bec. the Yanks beat them & gave all their employees rings in Subway title.
The Mets did come thru only after Yanks show them up & pressured wilpons image as a boss.

The Yankees are High class bec. Steinbrenner is a Great Boss while Wilpons are NOT!

Jeff Wilpon is a Total Ego napolean that backstabs everyone.
