David Wright has been on fire lately.
Is that 3 straight days with a long ball? |

I understand Santana doesn't have good stuff this start but this is a ****ing piss poor performance. He has blown 2 leads so far.

Terrible managing. Forgot to post on this forum but you have to leave Santana in there.

With Santana pitching, leaving with the lead I thought for sure we'd blow it again. Good job by Smith/Feliciano nailing it.
Yeah Smith was good today but this season he's been REALLY inconsistant. In the off season I bragged that he was going to be part of a 3 headed monster in our BP that will dominate, and I got burned for that ![]() But if he can pick it up it will help a great deal. Shoe was dominating the first half and fell down a little but so we might have some concerns about that... As for Heilman, yes I even supported him after the 2006 NLCS but my patience is wearing thin... And for my patience to wear thin with any Met means you must really be ****ing up |

Nationals blow and the game was over early, but that's an encouraging start for Maine coming off the DL.

When you think about it the Mets have been very good for months now in every area except the bullpen which no-one thought would be the concern that it has become. Edit The offense does tend to take the late innings off which ill need to stop). If we make the post season and depending where Pelfrey is innings and performance wise at that point, having Maine and/or Pelf in the pen may be the teams best move. Petey pitching as well as he has his last 3 outings will be mandatory for that to happen. Kind of like what the Cards did in 2006 with Wainright. |
