Beltran is a cancer on this team.

Minaya need to stop looking at vowels in the last names of the players and look more to heart and fight in the man.

Would love to see Wally Backman be part of Citifield

Pedro is done as a Met.

Wright might be the Greg Jeffries we never had

Mets players have to understand how much they are hated by their division. To not realize this is to be truly BLIND.

Your a complete and utter moron. Beltran is a great player, the best center fielder in the game, and came through today as well as in other spots. He is the least of our problems.

I'll take that kid in Cleveland over Beltran.

Grady Sizemore will be the best CFer in baseball pretty soon but I'm not sure I'll take him over Beltran within the next 2-3 years.

Sizemore? Really? maybe if you include salary but on straight skills Beltran is hands down the best CF in the league. GREAT defense with a great stick to match

his only drawback is he isnt a pund his chest type leader

I like that. Manuel deserves to be back next year.

My offseason blue print is

resign Jerry Manual
try to resign Ollie at #3 type money
Pick up delgados option
Say goodbye to Pedro unless he comes back at minimal salary as a number five guy
get maine healthy
Daniel Murphy plays 2b in winter league, if he can handle it its his, if not let him play lf in the winter
Heilman gets a chance to fight for a startin pitching spot, if he is still on this team, he does not have the mental makeup for the bullpen
Overhaul the bullpen, dont go overspend, bring in some under the radar type guys, some young kids, and some retreads and let them fight there way onto the team.
on the fence bout KRod, but we need a closer
if murphy can handle 2b, evans, fmart maybe a veteran, tatis fight for LF

Totally disagree. Maybe you haven't seen him play as much but has more speed, equal defense, power (Had power HRs than Beltran this year) as a lead off hitter.

Anybody else get a little teary eyed when Doc Gooden was brought back today?

As for the offseason....the bullpen needs to be turned upside down totally. Every guy in that bullpen can go for all I care.

Say goodbye to dinosaurs like Pedro, Alou, and Castillo. Hand Murphy the second base job and make a run for Pat Burrell for LF.

I think we need either Manny or Orlando Hudson and K-Rod including an entire new bullpen besides Joe Smith and Felicano

If Chi Sox's don't make the playoffs and they fire Guillen I want him managing this team

BP needs to total overhaul.

Our rotation will be interesting to see what we do with Ollie. We have 3 for sure starters next year in Santana, Pelf and Maine. Personally I think we will re-sign Ollie and go after a Jason Jennings/Derek Lowe type pitcher via FA.

The Lineup will be interesting as well. We know SS,3B,1B,C,RF and CF are locked up, that leave 2B and LF open. Murphy started to slump at the end. We need more power. Either eat Castillo's contracts and trade him or make him a high paid sub and go after Hudson.

LF is a ?. I don't trust Evans or Murph yet. I say sign a solid contributor like Bobby Abreu or maybe even Raul Ibanez until F-Mart is 100% ready.

Naw, I'm not interested in bringing in Abrebu or Ibanez.

The only FA I want that is an OF is Manny. Manny. Manny. That is who I want.

He can hit 35 hrs but hits 25...

He hits .240 with RSP

No leadership, even with his fellow latinos players.

Turns it on and off at will all season - is this what he's being paid to do?

I won't comment. Beltran is a top player at his position in his prime. He ain't going no where.

He hit the only Home Run today and he also called out the Bullpen after the game
