She was a news person too.
She has also owned and operated businesses. She also only joined the ticket after being dragged onto it by a desperate McCain. A little different than a one third term Senator becoming a major candidate because he spoke well and little else.
BTW Being a do nothing lawyer (and community organizer) counts as working toward the goal. After all there are no doubt more lawyers in Congress than anything else.
I find it pretty funny that Repubs continue to ridicule Obama's work in community organizing... It's that community organizing background that's responsible for the incredible grass roots/get out the vote plan that got millions of new voters registered to vote for him. Maybe the likes of Rudy and Palin should take some notes on how to win an election rather than disrespecting the next presidents resume.
You overestimate 37% of the country. There's no way to know for sure if Palin knew it or not but it is certainly within the realm of possibility (unfortunately).

So is this.
That quote is thrown around a lot on here. Do you honestly believe he wasn't just kidding when he said that?
The sad thing is if you honestly think was.

I bet he was kidding when he said the US needs more Arabic translators in Afghanistan too right?

Maybe he was kidding when he said he sat in Trinity Baptist Church for 20 years and never heard an anti American or anti white sermon....

ehh..who cares..I think concentrating on silly trivia that Palin may or may not have been up to date on is inconsequential. I think the real issue is her understanding of the way our government runs and the basis for our constitution is more alarming.

I also find it very interesting that the same ones who defended her publicly through the media are now throwing her under the bus.

I find it very interesting to see where the GOP goes.

I hope it splits up..and the social conservative and religious right form their own party with the likes of Palin and a new, fiscally conservative, small government party forms.

If that were the outcome, them I hope the McCain camp continues to dump on here, because hopefully it will anger the very base that they attracted by appointing her in the first place.

I agree, he wasn't joking. But it was obviously just his words running together. Again obviously, he meant to say he had been to 47 of the 50 states and hadn't been to three. He got ahead of himself in the sentence and said 57 states. Big deal. What they're talking about here with Palin isn't just a slip of the tongue or someone misspeaking.

But yeah, if the GOP wants to take a break from attacking Obama and focus on Palin for a few months, I don't have a problem with it.

Your sentence doesn't make any sense.

No, I think he lied about that.

Btw, did anybody else see the porn they did about her? There are a couple torrents of it floating around. The women didn't even fake the accent. Even the two russian guys screwing her faked russian accents; the only thing she could muster was a few "you betcha's." It was disappointing. Let me say she had a hell of an ass though.

The interesting thing about all this is that Fox News broke the story about how stupid Sarah Palin was. The republican party was always this picture of unity, now that they've gotten destroyed the last two elections it's turned into giant blame game with the neocons and corporatists in one corner (McCain/Bush's people) and the American taliban in the other (the manpower strength of the party of which Palin is a part of).

Apparently the neocons/corporatists are trying to scapegoat Palin, the person they brought into the campaign in order to energize the religious freaks who they need to win elections. Now they're blaming her for the loss. Very interesting.

This makes the 2012 Palin talk all the more ridiculous. She'll definitely run but the nomination is Jeb Bush's to lose.
