This is all spin. If you guys remember correctly, the day after Joe posed his question, before joining any campaigns or going on any shows, all of the major blogs did a massive investigation into his life, his career, and even his tax returns. All he did was make Obama look slightly uncomfortable, and the attack dogs came out to discredit the guy. He asks a question one day, and the next everyone knew what kind of underwear he wears.
How dare he question The Messiah.

Who cares if they're criticizing him? If he doesn't want to be criticized anymore, then he shouldn't be on tv. To me the guy is no different from Paris Hilton. Except he might be worse than Paris Hilton. At least Paris Hilton doesn't go onto political news shows acting like she knows what she's talking about and everybody should listen to her.

The guy asked a legitimate question, but lied to make it seem like it was a personal question; if he had any balls he would have asked the question truthfully instead of making **** up. Now it turns out that he's a hypocrite as well. He's getting everything he deserves. If he wants to go back to living a private life, then all has to do is just that.

I mean, Alan Colmes made the guy look like an idiot. Tell me that person shouldn't be criticized (and ridiculed) for going on tv like he knows what he's talking about. Alan Colmes. Let it sink in.

Like you were saying, no accountability needed. Except you seem to be more interested in accountability from Joe The Plumber than from Joe The Vice-President Elect.
Nothing, except for the fact that he misrepresented himself when asking it. If he had phrased it as a hypothetical no big deal..

I remember the first time I saw this video, you posted it in fact, the merits of the conversation were the only things being discussed.

Then McCain made him central point in the debate 2 days later which made it look staged and then all hell broke loose.
We're not supposed to remember that, CTM. We are only supposed to remember that we are being mean to this poor man. "We".

But I beg to differ. Since I am formerly a plumber, I am allowed to say what I wish about Joe. Dan the Plumber > Joe the Plumber. FWIW...none of what transpired concerning Joe surprises me. Anyone willing to pay money to buy a plumbing business is dumb. :D

Her incompetence? How so? Tell me without generalizing how incompetent she is.

She's a successful and popular governor and zipped some life into a dull campaign. Just because the blogs you read claim she isn't the mother of her youngest child doesn't make it true.

The Republicans had a near impossible task to win the White House, we all know this. McCain didn't do brilliantly, fine. But this doesn't make Palin incompetent. Non-stop invective from the left doesn't convert BS to truth.

Fox News- Shep Smith: "Why do you believe that a vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Israel when he has consistently stated his support for Israel and has given no evidence to the contrary?"

Joe the Plumber: "Well I'm just going to have to throw that back on your viewers as to why I think that."

Actually his answer was quite Obama-like

Q. - Mr. Obama will your tax plan raise taxes on those making $250k?
Obama - My tax plan results in a net tax reduction...[blah blah blah more of the same]
In his first press conference as President elect.

Change - you're kidding right?

She's a successful and popular governor primarily because she used windfall profits from high oil prices last year to dole out an extra $1200 in state socialist checks comrade.

Just being a resident of Alaska got you a $3300 check last year despite paying no state income or sales tax. Yet she was running around calling Obama a socialist. Unbelievable!

And again, I am not a leftist. I'm an economic conservative and social moderate. My number 1 enemy is not the left however, it is the anti-intellectual, social conservative, fiscal moderates that have taken over the republican party and left ME homeless. Sarah Palin is simply their leader and enemy #1.

And just by being a resident of the intellectual-worshipping, social & fiscal liberal state NY I pay higher and higher taxes for diminishing returns to a government that's declaring bankruptcy.

Real estate development corporations in Manhattan and elsewhere, though, don't share my diminishing returns or rising tax burdens ... they get, what's it called, corporate welfare? Incentive credits? A voice in Albany? They certainly do.

Call it the blue state blues. There's a song there, but no one will listen.

I have no intention to defend Joe "the Fifteen Minutes and 30 seconds of Fame" Plumber, but the claim that the MEdia was not investigating him till after the McCain debate is absolutely false. There were media reports about him and his past the very next day after his fateful question, and it was being discussed here (via articles by Huffington and other Liberal Sites) about the "Joe Conspiracy" and Joe's supposed ties to McCain, ties to the RNC, ties to Charles Keating ffs.

Indeed, Joe deserves much of what he got. But there is no question in my mind that the emdia, from the second the question was aksed, put far more effort into exposing Joe and his failings, than they EVER did to expose Obama's relationship to William Ayers, and his general agreement with Ayers philosophy.

But hey, Obama won, right? So the people spoke, and they want a media that destorys question askers, and supports Obama and Ayers. So be it.

Is it patriotic or part of the journalistic craft to destroy question askers? Should provoke interesting debate.
I don't know about the media's obsession with this guy. He asked Obama legit question, and he ends up getting killed over it.

I guess this is Phase 1 of stifling questions under the Obama administration.
Nobody has attacked the guy for asking a legit qestion. They have attacked him for being an attention-grabbing, non-taxpayer, agent-hiring, country-music contract signing, lying-about-being-a-plumber and lying-that-his-boss-makes-250k a year hypocrite.

Going by memory I read all the latest scoops on Joe the Plumber here on JI - I had no idea who he was or what he did, yet I learned he wasn't a plumber, fathered illegitimate children in 4 states, was unemployed, etc. You cats all read the same blogs and then regurgitate them here.
