Obama...it hasn't taken long

1st press conference- Insults Nancy Reagan & calls himself "a Mutt" (how Presidential!).

Meets w Bush & immediately has his aides leak the issues discussed. This has NEVER been done before, but hey- it's "change" we can expect more of...

U see the cover of today's NY Post? Obama has his legs crossed like a woman...or a starbucks sipping lefty, whichever applies.

Great post. It is nice to see your Jr. High has web access during study halls.

Wait, Tucker, I'm confused: Didn't McCain win? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

The dumb bastard mentioned Nancy Reagan having seances in the White House when it was Hitlery having them.

Four years of this idiot is going to make for some great comedy.

How 'bout a civilian defense force? With as much power as our armed forces?...Obama has called for it- sort of like an all inclusive Black Panthers Yes We Can.

Um, no. He called for expanding the peace corps and foreign service, and also for a program that would give college-tuition tax credits for people who commit to national service.

But, by all means, keep trying!

The conservatives really can't get over the fact that they lost the election. They'll do anything to drown out the pain. They lost to a black guy whose last name rhymes with Osama and still managed to lose Indiana, Ohio, Virginia and even North Carolina.

If that isn't a referendum against the inept policies our country has been following the past 8 years I don't what is.

Are you daft? Are you seriously criticising how he sits?

By the way, I drink Starbucks too, and I usually sip it. Got a problem with people who do that?

The irony of this, coming from one of our resident "selected not elected, Bush stole two elections and killed Democracy" libs, is, to say the least, entertaining enough to make me actually "lol".

Trust me, no Conservative I know has a "problem" getting over that we lost, and most of them (us?) know exactly (in our own minds at least) WHY we lost at that. It's not exactly rocket science this time round.

In here? Over the next 4 years? I just saw a poll showing that 72% of Americans believe that Obama will revive the economy (includes 40+% of Republicans) - that is a guaranteed fail. Absolutely no way. And when he doesn't, instead of ODS, we're going to see you and yours make excuses like no one's business.

There is a great deal of unrealistic expectations built into the Obama warm air cloud.

He's already removed tons of content from change.org (looks like he pimped has become an inconvenience...gee, whenever has Obama ducked from accountability before? Oh, that's right - his whole campaign!) - and at a time when Google is looking at 300, GM might not make Christmas, and the markets are toxic ...

To the winner belongs the spoils. Dem White House, Dem Senate, Dem House.

And for the next two years, there will be no Dem excuses, no exceptions.

I agree with you completely. It's pretty obvious why the conservatives got their ass kicked the last two elections, pretty much every policy your party endorses has been an abject failure.
Yes, it's a metaphor.

For increasing funding for the peace corps, foreign service and for encoruaging national seervice with tax cuts. Also for public-works type projects to do non-combat military reconstruction projects and such.

Do you honestly think he's proposing a multibillion-dollar brown shirt squad?
Didn't JFK use the same metaphor in 1961 when he established the Peace Corps:

“to promote world peace and friendship through a Peace Corps, which shall make available to interested countries and areas men and women of the United States qualified for service abroad and willing to serve, under conditions of hardship if necessary, to help the peoples of such countries and areas in meeting their needs for trained manpower.”

Using right-wing radio, website/corporate media logic, I guess Kennedy was secretly trying to become dictator of the world and enslave us all.

Funny how these republicans who were so willing to let the Bush administration make a joke out of the constitution are now these raging civil libertarians looking to manufacture any little scandal about any little remark Obama says.

Riiiight, because Liberalism has obviously cured all poverty, hunger, crime and hatred from the world.

Again VinnytheINT, you talking about Cons given your own parties history of abject failure to meet it's stated policy goals, is endlessly entertaining.
