Avery clears waivers...headed to Hartford

Forward Sean Avery cleared waivers on Monday, meaning the Dallas Stars' propriety may be heading back to the Big Apple.

The New York Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack, will likely be the destination for Avery's return to professional hockey.

Can't wait to wear my Avery jersey again!

You're right.

However.

The Rangers have good talent, but no identity as a team. Avery is a perfect character guy that can give the Rangers a voice and presence on the ice and may provide the spark the team needs, they need that swagger that they had at the beginning of the season. So you never know, this could be a blessing.

I never said good character, but boy does he have it.

His personality can either unify and bring cohesion to team (NYR) or be a total cancer to the team (The Stars). He flourished here and there's no reason why he can't again.

Just because he talked smack about his ex-gf, whom I agree with Sean, is totally busted, doesn't take away from his skills that he brings on the ice and the positive impact he can make on a team

I have nothing to add, other than this thread title contains the word Hartford and for a brief moment, I remembered the awesomeness that was being in grade school and going to WHALERS GAMES with my dad.

Other than that, I have nothing to add. Who is this Avery character you speak of?
