Holiday Light Show

Post pix of your home - interior, exterior, whatever.

This year, I'm in the process of converting to all LEDs; I'm running about 85%(?) now. They're bright and don't break as easily as regular lights when you step on them. :O

I linked because the pic is pretty big.

took about 2.5 days, mostly taking new light strings out of the boxes, unravelling and testing.

Anyone else have pix?

nice work Quantum...I spent $150 on new lights this weekend, commercial ones that can string 5 together...put them all up, they look great, I go inside to get a bulb for the door light and when I came back out only one strand was lit. LOL...what a loser I am, I finally just yanked one of the middle strands and go everything working again, but I wanted to punch something first :D

jw - I spent about $200.00 this year because I got tired of testing those dame lights, stringing them up and then half don't work.

With LEDs, I can connect 87  sets together, and they use 1/10th the power of mini-lights.

Then here's something else to kick yourself about:

Home Depot had a deal where you bring in your old crappy lights (working or not), they recycle them, and you get $5 off a new LED set. The sets I bought were $11 for a 100 light string. There was a limit of how many sets you could do this with. It was part of their green initiative.

I nearly brained myself a few years back falling off a ladder so I got the wife acclimated to some garland and lights on the front porch railing, two little fake trees on either side of the door and those little candle lights and wreaths in each window.

I'd be dead otherwise.

will try and post a picture of my house....have a big house and big setup.....even get my ass on a ladder and decorate four of the evergreens in the front of my house....extension cords everwhere...takes two weekends..
