My Renovation project - getting closer.
Some of you may remember some of these pictures. I started this project about a month before Brett Favre came to the Jets. I am getting closer to completing it. I still want to do a stone face on the brick and I need to let the new cedar age a little on the screen porch addition before I treat it so it will match but I ...am...closer. Here is some before and after shots.

Very nice!!!
Where is that? Reminds me of home (upstate NY)... Cedar looks great! Did you add on I'm assuming? New roof? I think it will take you a while for the new cedar to "catch up"... I built a little cedar fence in phases, and it took almost 6 months before it all matched... and even then I did semi-transparent oil stain, but the natural look is the best
Good luck, looks super! |

Good luck, looks super![/QUOTE] Well it is as far south in Alabama as you can get. 40 miles more and your in the Gulf of Mexico. I treated the rest of the house with Hydraulic fluid, it came out great and the carpenter bees hate it. I think I will let the new cedar age for a year or so before I do the same to it. We put a metal roof on and made a screen porch of the deck. It was our idea but I did not do the work...no talent for that stuff...I is a cop. |

Spray it.
Use a spray gun with an air compressor, but clean the windows pretty soon after doing it or you will have a hell of a time getting them clean.
