Your Favorite Gyro is.....
where?
Mine used to be in a Greek little (very little) restaurant on 4th Ave & 86 street in Brooklyn. I havent been there in like 17 or 18 years (I'm now in Wayne, NJ)... and I don't even know if it's still there. I know I'm going to get a "what's a Gyro?" from some of you... |

A gyro is not Greek, it's Middle Eastern.

There is no such thing as a "good Gyro" in Northern VA, best as I can tell.
Closest would be a place called Moby Dick, which is solid, but is still "fast food" technically. |

Before I became vegetarian, the gyro platter at the carts on 53rd and 6th.
It is phenominal...words cannot describe how good it is with the extra white and red sauce. Catch is, it's only open between 745pm and 4am, and there's always a long line. It's the best cure for the 3am post-bar/club drunchies...It's the only thing I still miss about being a carnivore. |
