Sheen jailed for 10 hours in Colorado on felony domestic violence charges

Actor Charlie Sheen was released from the Pitkin County Jail on bond Friday night, more than 10 hours after he was arrested at an Aspen home on felony domestic violence charges on Christmas morning.

The 44-year-old star of of the CBS show "Two and Half Men" was arrested after police received a 911 call about 8:30 a.m. to go to a home at 320 W. Hallam St. near downtown.

An ambulance was called, but the alleged victim did not require help, according to Aspen police.

Sheen has retained Aspen attorney Richard Cummins.

Reached on his cellphone Friday night, Cummins said, "I think ultimately what you'll see is there was no criminal conduct whatsoever."

He declined to discuss what happened.

Police aren't identifying the alleged victim because a department policy forbids identifying potential domestic-abuse victims.

Booked into the county jail under his real name, Carlos Irwin Estevez, Sheen faces charges of felony second-degree assault, felony menacing and a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief.

After being advised by 9th Judicial District Court Judge James Boyd, Sheen posted an $8,500 bond and was released from jail about 7 p.m.

His first court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 8.

There is a mandatory protective order in place barring him from contacting the alleged victim.

Sheen married 29-year-old real estate investor and actress Brooke Mueller last year and she gave birth to twins, Max and Bob, in March.

Sheen's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, released a statement: "It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion."

Sheen's relationships have been tabloid fodder before, including a bitter divorce and custody battle with actress Denise Richards in 2006.

In 1990, he was living with actress Kelly Preston, now the wife of John Travolta, when he accidentally shot in her in the arm. The wound needed only a few stitches. The relationship ended soon after.

In 1998 Sheen was hospitalized after he overdosed when he injected cocaine. He entered a court-ordered rehab. He also fueled gossip magazines in the late 1990s when he dated porn stars Ginger Lynn and Heather Hunter.

Sheen is the son of actor Martin Sheen and the brother of actor Emilio Estevez.

This is true. I *officialy* recant my topic starter. But he does live a lifestyle to make a bachelor envious. That said lock da bastid up, better pickins for moi.

From that standpoint, other than maybe Hefner, there is no one better. Sheen's chick resume is insane.
