What happened to Brad Smith?

They set that play up for the last month by only letting him run the ball. The only pass he threw all year before today was on the fake punt on Monday Night. Then they hit the home run with the pass. After that, what happened to Brad Smith? Especially after Greene went out and they were struggling to run the ball, why couldn't they mix him in. It may not have worked, but how were TJ's 2 yard runs really working out?

On a side note, I'm watching Gameday Final on the NFL Network. They just showed Jeff Saturday saying he absolutely loved outrunning the Jets and rushing for over 100 after hearing about how great the Jets running game was all week from the media.
