Montgomery, a four-year veteran, entered the league in 2006 as a seventh-round draft pick of the Panthers; he also has played for the Jets before joining the Redskins during the 2008 season. He was a restricted free agent, and the Redskins had tendered him at the seventh-round level. It's unclear whether he signed his one-year, $1.176 million contract or whether he signed a multi-tear contract. In 2009, Montgomery appeared in every game, starting three. |
