NY JETS COACH GETS HIS STOMACH STAPLED . . . GOOD MOVE CAUSE DUDE WAS MORBIDLY OBESE!!!

March 14, 2010. MediaTakeOut.com just received word that NY Jets coach Rex Ryan underwent weight-loss surgery Saturday at NYU Medical Center yesterday.

According to reports, Rex underwent lap-band surgery. The surgery entails placing a rubber band inside your body, around your stomach. The band restricts the amount of food you can eat, and leads to massive weight loss.

Rex is 47 and currently weighs 340 pounds.

Rex is already out of the hospital, it was a one day procedure, and it did not include staples in the stomach, it's actually a procedure that has become more routine in recent years and is completely reversable, the risks are apparently very low.

It's a good decision on his part, and it's good to see he's taking his health seriously.
