add Temple tight end Steve Maneri to the list...they are going to work him out...
interesting in that Maneri is justifiably the best blocking tight end in this draft and they just resigned hartsock, though a lot of his contract guarantees are based on playing time... Maneri goes 6071/264 and is also projected to tackle down the road... |

He is someone that can see the feild early as a TE and also develop as a tackle. Woody prob. wont be here more than another year and DBrick's contract will be up so there needs to be an insurrence plan. The problem is that there are weaker areas of the team that need to be addressed early and by the mid rounds there are less talented players. So if this kid has Tackle type upside and the Jets can get him later on I am all for it...Simple way to improve the depth of the OLine. |
