who did they lose that would result in THREE third round picks??

they didn't lose Seymour or Cassel or Vrabel, they traded them...

this has to be an error

I read somewhere else that Pats get 1 in the 6th round and 3 in the 7TH ROUND not third like it was reported .

now they have 12 total picks in the draft. 1 in 1st, 3 in 2nd, 1 in 4th, 2 in 6th, and 5 in 7th.

AdamJT13's projections on Comp picks. He has it pretty much down as far as predicting the picks....He doesn't seem to have any Patriot comp picks in the 3rd, so I'm guessing that's a mistake on Shefter's part

The Cincinnati Bengals were the big winners when the NFL awarded compensatory picks Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cincinnati was one of three teams to get a third-round compensatory pick (No. 96) and received the only fourth-round pick (No. 131) to boot.
