at 6'6"-273, where do you see him in a 3-4 defense? DE or OLB?

also, what round would you have him going? any chance he's there when we pick in the 4th?

potential two-gap end as he physically matures and fills out his frame.....

personally I think he's a third round developmental type but will be over-drafted because of the position he plays and his upside....

With Rhodes gone there is now room in the Jets locker room for Lane's head.

That's it. He will have to pack on some weight but ultimately that's where he'll end up. Need to be coached up though.

So he's a Justin Tuck/Jason Jones type talent...that's interesting. I mean that in the sense that they were both plus athletes with big frames so teams and fans had fun figuring out what position they could play. IIRC both Tuck and Jones were considered DE/OLB prospects early in the draft process, but as the draft neared seemed more 4-3 end-y with frames that could take them to 285-290. Both guys took snaps at DT and DE in their teams' 4-3. Jones will stay at DT I think, and obviously Tuck is a DE. Giants fans told me Tuck has weighed as much as 295 during the season.

If I could pick two NFL players I'd want to add to our DL I'd add Ngata and Tuck. Tuck would be a Pryce/Ellis type DE in Rex's D, and he'd be awesome at it.

That makes Lane somewhat interesting.

Tuck and especially Jones were significantly more explosive and quicker off the snap....

Well yea...if he were of their caliber there'd be alot more discussion of him...from me especially.

It's just a way to give myself a point of reference...thought I'd throw it out there. I'll put it this way...smoke a shyteload of pot and ponder the phrase "everything is everything." 20 minutes right there man.

Lane will go in the 3rd I think.
