Pretty accurate reading of the situation. I don't agree with Mel that they have a huge need at WR that has to be filled at #29 and feel that if there is a pass rushing type that is higher on their board at that slot they should jump on it. But they were correct on the Jets improving their defensive backfield and running back group before the draft and being in a pretty good position to go BPA when their turn comes up or even trade down into the second round if that adds another third round or third day pick to the mix

Nailed it perfectly. WR (Not so sure about Thomas, though), a DE and an OLB are our top 3 right now. I say take BPA out of those 3 positions when we are on the clock

One thing that was said (by Mel I believe) that I disagree with is that the Jets have a "great" defense. IMO what separates the Jets from having a great D is a true pass rusher. I think that the D is excellent, but great...that's an entirely different league.
