don't see the problem
we are, as promised the home team for the first ever game in the new stadium. And it's against the Giants which makes it, unlike any other preseason bore, moderately interesting to attend |

The Maras would not allow the first football game in the new stadium (even in the preseason) with the Giants on the road without whining to Daddy Goodell. |

Technically, it's our home game but I wouldn't be surprised if one end zone is Jets and the other is Giants

They better not! Haha... seriously, at this point this whole equal partners charade is laughable. This is why so many were disappointed with this new venture. Cue the "inferiority complex" posters. |

Open up their home schedule on a premier Monday night, and get a Thanksgiving night game. I don’t understand what the complaining is about. |

Do you think the Jets will insist that the Giants use the visitors lockerroom? That should be a fun fight. :D

The NEW YORK JETS are getting more attention throughout the league than anyone, including the Giants in our own city, the big-bad Patriots, and the defending SB Champion Saints. This team will be on Hard Knocks, has their first preseason game nationally televised in the new house, will be on Opening Monday Night to officially open the new house, will host a Thanksgiving Night game, and will probably get at least 2 more prime time games thrown in. Embrace it, Jets fans!!! |

I think they both had home locker rooms in the old stadium too and both used them.
The Giants will have to presumably stand on the visitors sideline and exit using the ramp while the Jets will use the home team exits through the coaches club should be fun |

Embrace it, Jets fans!!![/QUOTE] Why does this have to be about a Jets fan having an inferiority complex? Why can't it be about Jet fans that are sick of the NFL giving favorable treatment to the Giants for some unknown ancient reason? After the coin flip fiasco, the NFL appeased the Jets in two ways: 1) Offering the Monday night opener. 2) Promising the Jets the preseason opener. Frankly #2 is hardly what I would call a "concession", but the very fact that the Giants (the team that is and has been game three every year in terms of preseason schedule) is all of a sudden the first game just seems to again show the Maras are getting preferential treatment. Consider also that the Giants opened up at home 12/16 times before this year and that the Giants got both games 2 & 3 last year scheduled around the Jewish holidays (when the Jets initially got neither until the outcry that moved the Titans game to 1 pm) and I'd have to say its getting old real fast. |

Good games to have. The opening week versus the Giants will be sought after and Week 3 is always the best in terms of starting lineups playing the entire game.
Should both be good draws. |
