How far behind the Jets have Video Bill and the Pattycakes fallen?

Jets have improved at CB, S, RB and ST

Pattycakes have gotten worse at TE and DL for starters

How big is the gap

It's interesting because on paper it's not really close. I mean, the only positions they have the edge on us are:
QB
WR1
FS
K
P

When the QB is Brady, that makes up for a lot of short-comings, but hopefully not enough... especially without Welker for a large part of the 2010 season. Pats need a HUGE draft this year or else they could be in big trouble. Lucky for them, they have a ton of picks and this is a great draft class.

Jets will be better then the Pats when they win the division...or even show that they can beat the pats with any type of consistency. the notion that the gap is closed is a figment of your imagination until the Jets prove it to be true on the field.

On par. The Pats have a multiple time SB MVP at QB who is now one season past his ACL injury, the league's best head coach, a solid all-around roster, and a lot of picks in the first two rounds.

The AFC East will be a toss-up.

+1

The only gap I see is the one were trying to close between us and the Pats.

We got hot at the end of the year and had a better playoff run, but if Feely doesn't step in for Weatherford in the Wild Card game were not even having this discussion.

I think we are finally ready to overtake them and win the division, but like they say "That is why they play the games!"

We can make this real complicated, but the fact of the matter is it’s in Sanchez’s hands.

Right now the Jets are a better all around team then the Pats. Sanchez was a major liability last year. He showed good signs of improvement toward the end of the season. If he can turn that 12-20 into 20-12 the pats have a major problem.
