6 innings, 3 runs. Just do that, that's all they need.

Yankees bullpen should be rested, aside from Joba and Mo, when was the last time anyone pitched?

Why is Thames playing LF ? I don't care that Brett Cecil is a LHP. Gardner hits lefties too. Come on Joe!!!!!

If you want to get Thames in the lineup, Posada should catch and Thames should DH (Gardner in LF)
If he drops a routine flyball or lets a ball get by him or over his head for a double I'm going to be pissed off. Get it through your head Joe, Thames is a pinch hitter/DH. That should be his sole purpose on this team!!!!!

Okay, so Blue Jays RF'r Jose Bautista coming into this season never hit more than 16 HR's. As of the 4th inning of this game he has hit 18 HR's this season......Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking?

LMAO...as I'm reading this, Thames snags one at the wall and throws Bautista out at third.

I know he sucks, just thought it was funny....

Here's today's Yankee lineup. Thames was actually in the original lineup, but Joe scratched him in the last minute (thank God).

Derek Jeter SS
Nick Swisher RF
Mark Teixeira 1B
Alex Rodriguez 3B
Robinson Cano 2B
Jorge Posada DH
Francisco Cervelli C
Brett Gardner CF
Kevin Russo LF

GO YANKEES!!!!!

Adam Dunn or Paul Konerko would suffice

BTW, Dunn is not really an all or nothing guy like Dave Kingman ... he's hitting .320 over the past month ... not to say he's a .300 hitter, clearly he isn't, but I don't think its fair to classify him as a Dave Kingman type either.
I'm not convinced Ham. He K's way too much. He will be a clog in the line up. The main problem IMO is adding one more solid arm in the bullpen and figuring out why this line up play a Jekyl & Hyde sometimes. One game they're knocking the cover off the ball; next game they look like they need glasses.

it looks like the Yanks offense is usually fine at home, but on the road it's been horrible for the last month.

I don't know about anyone else but I think it's time to drop Tex in the order.Right now he's an automatic out.Maybe move Posada to the number 3?Move Tex down to 6 or 7

He's having problems with off speed pitches...

Once he finds it, it'll be there for a while.

Leave him there, it's just taking longer than normal.

Hes off to the worst start of his career... Last year at this point he had 17 HRs, was batting .286 and had a OPS over 1.000.

Anyways I love how this ump keeps calling strikes on pitches that are clearly out of the zone for a pitcher that is known for not having control.
