Jason Taylor reaching out to Jets fans. Who would have thunk it?

@janesports Jason Taylor was one of the last players out signing autographs, threw cleats up to crowd. Wants to connect with fans, made a start today. 8 minutes ago

Hey, he's extending his hand first so as Jets fans we should surely shake hands. The past is the past and if he's putting Tom Brady on his ass then I'll be the first one standing and cheering. Welcome aboard JT!

There was some Jason Taylor chanting and during practice he went over to some fans and high fived them and signed some stuff. Looked like Jenkins nudged him then walked over.

... lack of pass rush was one of our biggest weaknesses last season ...

... the only direct addition to our team to address this was taylor ...

... he could be a huge piece of the puzzle to our superbowl quest ...

... vanquish the ghost !!! ... long live the ghoul !!! ...

I agree, people need to let that old stuff go. They talked with Taylor on sirius NFL radio yesterday & asked him about the 1st game back in Miami as a NY Jet, Adam Shein mentioned that he believes Taylor is competitive just like Favre, meaning he'll want to kick his old teams ass.

Taylor knew the date of that game!

They didn't say how he threw the shoes. Was it a polite toss, or did he peg them into the crowd trying to hit someone?

+1

Time to put the past behind us. Taylor is an important part of our defense and this is our best shot at winning a Super Bowl since 1998.

He's not my favorite player or anything but he's a Jet now and I really think he'll help the team a lot. It'll be interesting to see how Rex and Pettine use him. Does Bryan Thomas come out on 3rd down/passing situations? I know Rex likes BT a lot too. Good problem to have.
