The most selfish/annoying Jets players ever are:
Ok, I am the most "annoying" poster and also the most "selfish" on this board (sorry, beat ya to it smackers :D) And, it is completely ironic that I started a thread with this title (sorry again :)) Oh, and before I forget, yes, who am I to talk (gotcha :D)
Now that that's out of the way... Here's my top 5 with explanations: (not in order) * John Riggins (Hess didnt even bother to make him an offer he was so gone) * Dave Cadigan (annually says he's a pro-bowler & was OWNED by LT/Smith) * Kerry Rhodes (you know) * Mark Gastineau (Cleveland 1987, Brigitte 1988) * Johnny Johnson (still roaming the highways of America I imagine) Some debatable selfish/annoying Jets considered for the list: * Johnny Mitchell (annoying) * Curtis Martin (perhaps the most selfish and misunderstood Jet ever) * Laverneous Coles (both) * John Abraham (selfish, but, I dont blame him for leaving) * Brett Favre (isnt in the top 5 only because we all knew he was a con job) DARRELLE REVIS? |

Keyshawn says hello.
By the way, not a terrible thread Schroy. Notice I said not terrible. :poke: By the way, I can't agree with Riggins. I don't remember the details surrounding his departure but I know Washington offered him 5X the money he had been making with the Jets. Not to mention that NY was too much for John Riggins. He was a real country boy who walked to the beat of his own drummer. I don't think he was ever comfortable in the Big Apple. |

How is Curtis Martin on this list?
Because he played through pain? Newsflash, his back-ups were nothing note worthy. |

when people complain about signing Revis, a 24 year old at the prime of his game... i wonder what they thought about signing Favre... a 39 year old, well past his prime... no one complained or worried about the cap when Favre stole 16 mil in 1 year. |

I am trying to fnd the link, but yesterday i read in the Daily NEws that Favre is doing a article for a magazine and he spoke of the time on the Jets.
Basically he said that he liked the guys he played with, but he said that the first day he was on the team he was exhausted and he had to get in an helicopter and go to city hall to get the key to the city. He was like really a helicopter I don't want any of this. |

Bit when i first heard we signed Favre i thought ok he can make all the throws. Then as the day went on i thought about his learning scale, the chemistry etc. I rooted for the team to win but i knew he we would be gone in 1 season.. he basically used us to stay in the league so he can get to Minnesota and I sure we used him, to seel tickets, psls and break away from Pennington. The best thing out of the deal was Sanchez became our target in the draft. |

A bunch of us had problems with that signing. These boards were far from 100% behind the Favre move. |

ah pretty cool schroy, surprised me!
But Curtis Martin? Sorry I don't buy into that compiler bull****. Only the Jets fans could complain about having Curtis Martin on their team. |
