Privacy act: Street cameras

I am an advocate for street cameras, I think it will help prevent crimes, catch the criminal, save tax payer's money in the long run and keep police officers safer. I like the idea of radar/speed cameras instead of hiding patrols on the highway. I think highway patrols can be as dangerous when chasing a vehicle for a traffic violation.

For those who disagree with me, maybe you should look at other countries with camera systems..they are safer. I think people in America will behave more if they knew they were been watched 24/7. If you really do have a problem, then you must be doing something that is not quiet right.

I think it is a sweet technology, matter of fact, one cop can be monitoring several streets behind some monitors. Think about the amount of time they will be saving! All 50 states should enact this law and apply this technology, it only makes sense...

isn't this like saying gays and homos?

I don't mind camera on sidewalks, don't want them in the street so cops can send out tickets to everyone going 66.

Do we really want to live in a world that watches our every movement?

Whats next giving out tickets for swaring? Outlawing human touching during sex?

Where does it end? It is just a slippery slope to go down.

And do you really want a ticket for driving 56 in a 55?

Why dont you just slow down, Phaggot P. Dillinger.

Anyone who ends up in a Gas station screaming at lesbians while his wife sobs in the car deserves worse than a fiddy dollar ticket.

You are lucky i dont work in un-urban environments.

1. Every movement? If it means lowering the crime rate and making our women and children safer, then the answer is yes.

2. Has crime rate gotten any better with our previous strategies?

3. If you obey the law, then you won't have to worry about been ticketed...would'nt you?

and not a handsome one either

I don't have a problem with street cameras for crime, I'm all for them. I'm cool with illegal wire tapping as well.

Normally I hate the intrusion but running red lights on Long Island has gotten to the point of absurdity. People don't hesitate to go through lights that are dead red. At least it will make people think.

I believe Nassau County expects to take in $13 this year from the cameras.

I wonder if that can put some in Florham Park and use the money to pay Revis?
