Saw him live about 5 or 6 times, with the last time at Canandaigua with Joe Cocker about a month before he died. Met him at McDonalds on the Thruway on the way home. Saw Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton in line...cool as hell...took us to the bus to say hey to Stevie.

R.I.P SRV - 20 Years Ago Today
**EDIT** I just saw a similar thread was already posted, but hey, SRV is worth it.
20 years ago today. It seems like yesterday. SRV at his best: [url] Last edited by crazyeffinjetsfan; 08-27-2010 at 02:45 PM. |

I saw him the night before he died, same theater. It was a two night stand with Clapton, Stevie Ray, and Robert Cray. I was pretty buzzed but remember most of it. I wish I was a bit more sober though.
