Sanchez Calls out Schotty
He said during his presser that on the pick before the half "he know's schotty called a pass but if he could go back he would of called a run...there was no need to put the ball in the air, and if I could go back I'd of changed the play"
that is a paraphrase for the record. but wow he was direct about that |

I took it as he was blaming himself for not calling an audible...... I think you misunderstood.

+1 It sounded to me like he feels he should have changed the play. |

he definitely did towards the end of the mini rant...but in the start he said "Schotty called a pass and I don't get why, I'd of run the ball and left it to Folk and went into the half 10 - 7" then he recovered by saying he should of audibled |

i watched it too fact is the jets have plays with formations where sanchez has the option to kill and run to the other play ... i think sanchez is referencing to him seeing the coverage or how the D was playing he should have changed the play ... he's not calling schotty out ... stop it

good.
that was a very stupid play call. whether or not Sanchez is calling Schotty out, i'm glad they recognize it was a stupid play to call in that situation. |

It was a 3rd and 7 what offensive coordinator would call a run there with a normal QB? Guess Mark still thinks of himself as a mistake prone bad QB that needs to be protected from himself. Stupid comment by him.
good.
that was a very stupid play call. whether or not Sanchez is calling Schotty out, i'm glad they recognize it was a stupid play to call in that situation.
i know everyone is riding high (as am I) after that kind of win... but I think it's worth listening to again... to me it was a call out and he then recovered and diverted to his failure to audible... either way tho in reality he's saying the original play called was in principle retarded...it wouldn't of been an audible bc of a matchup, he's saying it would of been an audible because the idea of passing in that situation was stupid... so regardless it's calling out schotty's play call EDIT: FOR THE RECORD. I actually thought it was a good play call in that situation and Sanchez just didn't execute.. |

um, it was the end of the half, 40 seconds left. run the ball against the league's 2nd worst run defense. if you don't pick up the first down, let the clock run down, kick the easy field goal to go into half time with the lead. |

Sanchez was saying he should have changed the play... Which he does many times during the game anyway.
Sanchez is always CRAZY tough on himself. To be honest, Sanchez is too tough on himself sometimes. He's gotta chill out with that. But he's a young kid and will get better at maintaining control as time goes. Just like any other normal person. |

I don't think it was bad play call we'd thrown the ball into their territory, we're on the fringe of the red zone and it's third down. Get the touchdown we deflate them. Sanchez didn't execute either because he read the defense poorly or because he was pressing, either way you can't really complain about the call.

i can definitely complain against that play call. and i'm doing it. run the ball against a weak run D. if you don't get the first down, let the clock run down, kick the easy FG. you're on the road and are giving the ball back at the start of the 2nd half. take the 3 point lead going into halftime. |

But with that said, Sanchez has to do a better job protecting the ball and he knows that. |

We had a chance to break their spirit going into the half and it back fired because of poor execution from our qb on a play that should've been. If you don't have someone open then throw it away or take the sack. We'd moved up the field efficiently through the air why not go for the jugular |

i'm w/ you on this one... you have to play for a td in that situation... it was a poor decision my mark the playcall itself was good |
