1. Sanchez is not playing great football. he tends makes some really bad decisions sometimes, like throwing into triple coverage. Sanchez also isn't the most accurate QB in the world. Sometimes he will throw it to the back shoulder when he should throw it in front of the receiver. sometimes when he throws the deep ball he throws it a couple yards too far. But he will be fine. that being said....
2. the offensive coordinator is not putting Sanchez in good throwing situations. Nobody runs the ball on first down more than the jets. Its always run run, and than its 3rd and long and sanchez has to make something happen. I no we are a ground and pound team but sometimes you have to pass first to set up the run. If we come out and complete 3 or 4 passes in a row to start a game, those extra defenders in the box are now gone because they have to respect the pass. and than you kill them with the run. we just need to mix it up more....
3. Shotty is just too conservtive, and very predictable to me. way too many 3 and outs. Also i feel like we have no intermediate passing game. We either throw the ball 5- 10 yards or its a 60 yard bomb. Where are the 20 yard posts? and crossing patterns?
4. He calls stupid plays at stupid times. Perfect example 4th and 2 on Sunday. Yea lets run the Wildcat? really? first of all its fourth and 2. you have to throw for the first down. But if you are going to run it, keep sanchez in there so at least the defense doesn't know if you are going to run or throw. coming out in the wildcat we basically said we are gonna run the ball. try and stop it. Well shotty they did and you didn't outsmart anyone, except maybe yourself
