As much as I hate Miami and hate to say this... Miami started slow but they're going to be a strong contender come playoff time once they gel. Look at all the good teams in the league, they were all built by putting 3 stars together. Amare's not going to be able to keep this pace up and play so many minutes without eventually getting hurt or burnt out by the playoffs. We need melo to be the guy that can take over when Amare's having a bad game or 2.

this is pretty earth shattering news...you've discovered a totally unknown wrinkle in the time space continuum....Paul Pierce is credited with hitting a 14 foot jumper with .4 seconds left at which time the Knicks called timeout....so, by YOUR account, the Knicks came out of the T.O. with .4 seconds left but the buzzer beater by Stoudamire was taken at .8...using this new breaktrhough in science, no team that loses when time runs out should ever have to lose again...all they have to do is use the new Minkaveli Paradox....this could change the world!!! |

There are plenty of shots to go around on a Mike D'Antoni team. The Knicks need Carmelo for games like tonight. I loved the addition of Felton and think he's been great so far this year, but having Carmelo and Amare work the PnR late in the 4th would really help them close out good teams. If that breaks down, Carmelo can create a shot the way Pierce did on the game winner.

I can say this, compared to the garbage that has been played in MSG for the past 15 years or so, this team is wonderful. This team is full of guys that actually get it, Amar'e is the man! Love his attitude and work ethic.
Win or lose, last night was awesome and brought back memories of Knicks-Heat and Knicks-Bulls, it was so intense. |

So all of a sudden the NBA doesn't suck anymore because the Knicks are good now?
The NBA never sucked.....especially the playoffs the last few years. Really annoying to constantly hear about the Knicks now when the same people were constantly preaching that the NBA now blows for the last decade Not ripping on the OP, but I've even noticed it even on facebook status updates lately lol......I only had like 5 or 6 guys to talk to the NBA about in depth for a few years and all of a sudden there are tons of NBA fans?

I will also admit that it was very hard to route for the Knicks first with Isiah and then with crap like eddie curry and guys that robbed this franchise of any dignity. I thought when Marbury came back it would have been better but that didn't pan out so well. I think the Knick fans finally have something to cheer about, even if wed was a loss, it brought back the excitement to the Garden and it seems like this team will be around for a while now.... |

Watched the Knicks when I lived in Jersey but never was a fan... However, I hope they dismantle the Heat tonight and cause some sort of long-term internal breakdown.

I've watched games on and off but usually only in the 4th quarter in the playoffs. I despise what the "new NBA" is, someone pounding the air out of the ball for 20 seconds leading to an iso & chuck or a team playing matador D just so they can move to offense. I grew up on the times where if you were going for a dunk/layup you paid the price -period. That being said, I am happy the Knicks are relevant again and I'll watch tonight. |

1) Carmelo is one of the best scorers in the league 2) Amare gets his points posting up, dunking or with his face to the basket but still close in. Carmelo gets all of his puts either way out on the perimeter or driving to the basket. If you or anyone else still thinks this team isn't in desperate need of another superstar like Melo look at the game against the Heat the other night. |
