Playoff Scenarios?
What are the Jets playoff clinching scenarios in Week 16 & 17? Any way they can not get in?

sure there are ways they cannot get in. otherwise they'd have clinched already. |

Win one of the two remaining games and we're in. Lose both and there are ways we can miss out. Not sure who exactly but JAX/IND and KC/SD are the only teams that could be 10-6 and not division winners so any scenario involves them. |

I understand that. I'm asking what would need to happen to keep them out? What teams can keep them out?

Can the Jets lose next week and still clinch due to other teams losing?

Jax or Indy has to lose 1, and SD has to lose 1 and we're in OR
Jax or Indy has to lose 1, and KC loses 2 and we're in Not including ties. SD wins out and KC wins 1 of 2, and it depends on common opponents. Same with Indy or Jax. All this not counting ties |

I like how if you use Defensive Rank to decide all games, we become the #1 seed :P |

Where do we stand with the wild card?
Hey guy's sorry if this has allready been asked. Im kinda confused. Seeing that the pat's won and the dolphin's lost where do we stand? Again sorry for the dumb ? but im confused. Do we need to wait and see the outcome of next week's game? Are we a lock for the wild card? Do we need to win out the next 2 games? Thanks guy's.....

According to the below site (and I can't vouch for the validity)
http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/East/Jets.html The Jets can clinch week 16 with the following: 1. A win or tie with the Bears 2. A Raiders win over Colts or Tie 3. A Redskins win over Jags or Tie According to the site we now have a 99.3% chance of making the playoffs, and that number goes down to 95% if the Jets don't win another game But screw all this BS cause were going to be Chi Town next week and clinch mfer |

Playoff Rules Question:
Does the wildcard game #3 vs. #6 always play the #1 seed in the divisional round? Is it based on who wins the #4 vs. #5 wild card game? How does it work? |

Im trying to figure out whether the jets would likely rematch the pats or the steelers in the divisional round IF they won their wildcard round...
(If they make the playoffs) |

If the 3 seed wins the game, they play the #2 seed. If the #6 seed wins, they play the #1 seed. the 4/5 game doesn't matter in terms of seeding. |
